Volunteer
Joining The Core is easy. You don’t need to be an expert, we’ll train you, guide you, and support you every step of the way.
1️⃣ Pick a Role
Browse our Volunteer Roles and add your name and email to any that interest you.
2️⃣ Get Registered
New to The Core? You’ll receive a registration email with our values, volunteer agreement, and waivers.
3️⃣ Get Connected
We’ll introduce you to your team lead, Facebook group, and share training materials for your role.
4️⃣ Jump In
When there’s a need or event, we’ll reach out. You can volunteer as often or as little as your schedule allows.
Types of Volunteers Needed
Flexible &
One-Time Roles
(Come When You Can)
Perfect for new or casual volunteers who want to jump in and help when needed.
🕓 Typical commitment: 1 day at a time, join when you can.
Event &
Seasonal Roles
(Monthly to Quarterly)
For volunteers who want to help during Core events or recurring program days.
🕓 Typical commitment: 1–2 days per month, or per scheduled event.
Program
Support Roles
(Weekly or Biweekly)
For volunteers who help regularly with families, data, or behind-the-scenes logistics.

Full-Time &
Leadership Roles

In 2026, we’re launching the Straight to the Core Program — a complete training and progression system for Core volunteers.
It’ll include beginner, intermediate, and advanced tracks for every major role, plus classes that unlock new leadership opportunities.
You’ll be able to see exactly which roles lead to others, what prerequisites are required, and how to move up to the Core of the organization.
Urgent Volunteer Openings
Director of Vision & Strategy
FounderDesigns and protects the Core’s overall mission and system architecture. Ensures technology, programs, and partnerships always align with transparency, trust, and impact over income.
Executive Director
FounderLeads day-to-day operations, manages all teams and programs, and builds relationships with key partners to keep the Core running efficiently and ethically.
Impact Director
Core LeaderOversees the Fulfillment and Funding teams, ensuring every request is tracked, verified, and completed with maximum savings and transparency.
Program Director
Core LeaderConnects all Core programs, from family care to community events, making sure every effort works together toward measurable results.
Event Director
Oversees entire community events, from planning to cleanup, ensuring each event runs smoothly, safely, and in line with the Core’s mission.
Technology Director
RemoteMaintains and improves all digital systems and automations, ensuring data accuracy, smooth workflows, and secure integrations across the Core’s platforms.
Financial Director
RemoteManages budgets, donations, and financial reports, ensuring every transaction is transparent, compliant, and aligned with the Core’s impact-first philosophy.
